Because we don't yet live in a society that values working
for a better world, we will have to make tough choices
if we want to live a better world lifestyle.
Are
there things that we do that help to perpetuate our
culture of fear? Do we want to watch movies and television
programs and play video games that glorify violence?
Setting a good example in the way we act, treat others
and how we deal with conflicts will take a lot of self-monitoring
and a lot of work.
Until we can transform our societies so that we are
all truly working to establish a better world and a
culture of peace, we must be prepared to feel "different"
and this will take a lot of courage.
But as the Better World Movement grows and more and
more people stand up for their better world principles,
it will become easier to make the right choices.
If we want to focus our lives more deeply on the goal
of creating a better world, it helps to submerge ourselves
in thinking about a better world. Read books about a
better world and better world heroes. Listen to songs
about peace, justice, and environmental sustainability.
Participate in better world activities. Surround yourself
with thoughts of a better world, and it will be easier
to focus on working to create it.
