The
purpose of this day is to observe 24 hours of peace, to express prayers
and intentions for peace from any spiritual traditions, and to raise
public awareness of the United Nations Day of Peace. This day directly
supports the establishment of a global ceasefire in all areas of war
and conflict. It’s a global effort to observe a world-wide, 24-hour
vigil for peace and nonviolence in every house of worship and place
of spiritual practice; by all religious and spiritually based groups
and individuals; and by all men, women and children who seek peace
in the world.
You are invited: Wed., Sept. 21 - 6:30pm
to gather
at the Peace Pole 7-8pm is the Prayer Service at the Holy Family Chapel
at the Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse at 6400 Minnesota.
