Peace Prayer Ceremony was observed amidst pomp and grandeur on 21st
September in the premises of Kadalpur Shashan Vihar Village: Kadalpur,
P.). Kadalpur, P.S. Raozan, Dist: Chittagong at the location of our
permanent office of Rural Multipurpose Development Centre and Buddhist
Brotherhood Assembly where Peace Pole was planted.
On this day of celebration Buddhist monks and lay Buddhists, different
faith believer gathered in the premises of the Center in order to
make the programme a success. A Peace Prayer Ceremony was organized
by the members of Rural Multipurpose Development Center and Buddhist
Brotherhood Assembly. President Dilip Kumar Barua presided over the
meeting and conducted the prayer. Among others who spoke highlighting
the sacred message of Masahisa Goi "May Peace Prevail on Earth‚" Madal
Barua General Secretary, Prof. Tarun Kanti Barua, Co-ordinator, Lokapriya
Barua, Organizing Secretary, Udayan Barua Chief Patron, Mrs. Tandra
Barua, Dr. Dibakar Barua, Debananda Thero, Sailash Chowdhury, Upanana
Bhikkhu, Bipulananda Bhikkhu, Mohan Karmakar.
Participants gathered there discussed the present world crisis, the
threat of nuclear war and terrorist activities. The elimination of
the threat of nuclear war, the threat of annihilation of life on Earth
is a vital concern for the entire peace loving human kind. With its
threat of universal annihilation, always remember that we are all
members of common human family, that there will be durable peace on
Earth until and unless we become aware of our common responsibility
for what is going on the world and learn to regard each others as
brothers and sisters. Let us begin by driving away hatred and pride
and cultivate loving kindness, compassion, forbearance and equanimity.
Our motto should be love for all, hatred to none. With these supreme
ideal in mind let us unite, try hard to achieve everlasting peace
and harmony.
We prayed for all sentient beings, healing for earth, overall progress
and prosperity of the human society at large. May Peace Prevail on
Earth.
