We opened our 24 hour peace vigil on Saturday evening with 125 of
our church members attending the local Al-Ringling Theatre for "A
Night of Harmony" listening to The Happiness Emporium Quartet was
a perfect way to begin our Day of Peace. Later that evening our Colombian
delegates led us all in a salsa dance from heaven.
Sunday
began with our Bible Service with the Master Teacher. Malcolm Born,
a German opera vocalist opened our International Peace Ceremony followed
by a moment silence to ask God's blessing on all of those joined with
us in prayer in over 80 countries around the world. Clare Diane and
12 representatives shared The Seeds of Peace, prayers from all the
major religions in the world.
Next our international delegates from over 25 countries shared messages
and prayers for peace in their own languages. Our theme was "There
is no peace except the peace of God, And I am grateful it is so."
Opened by the Austrians dancing to the theme of Edelweiss and ending
with all the Americans in unison with "The Peace of God is shining
in me now". We all joined them in a chorus of "Let there be peace
on earth and let it begin with me". Last to perform were the children
in a precious rendition of "All we are saying is give peace a chance"
followed by personal prayers from each of them. Our ceremony closed
with a Polish dance led by Rafal and everyone participated.
The afternoon was very mellow with prayers, singing and resting in
God. Listening to our closing ceremony with Doug and Monica on piano
and clarinet I bathed in the gratitude of my brothers both here and
around the world. I feel so blessed to have been given this unworldly
and miraculous solution and have the opportunity to extend that certainty
to MYSELF! The salvation of the world depends on me! When I change
my mind the world changes. I AM FREE. I love you all...thanks for
joining with us!
