PEACE CENTER, run by LEPOCO (the Lehigh-Pocono Committee of Concern)
created a special calendar for September, 2003 listing the International
Day of Peace.

Indeed we were praying for peace today - I did a "Mission Message"
at St. Thomas UCC and the International Day of Peace was prayed about
and for. The Executive Minister of UCC Justice and Witness Ministries'
weekly email/snail mail message was on IDP and on the UCC Web (www.ucc.org)
a statement by the President of the Church.
I will forward the Witness for Justice to you. Note that she reports
the annual World Peace Festival and the Peace Youth Summit!! Sometimes
it is necessary to lobby others than the U.S. Congress and Administration.
Prayers for the International Day of Peace were also held in the Church
of the Manger UCC, also in Bethlehem. May Peace Prevail on Earth!
