A
noon hour ceremony at the Jimmy Adams Peace Park, Inuvik,
Northwest Territories, included a short program, including music performed
by students of the Sir Alexander Mackenzie School and one minute of
silence, ending in a “joyful noise” at 12:00 noon, (bells and sirens,
singing and Inuvialuit Drumming). A donated lunch followed the program
and a collection was made for UNICEF. Everyone attending was invited
to sign the banner.
