the Millennium Summit in September 2000 at the United Nations, ALL of the world's
leaders agreed "to spare no effort" in working to fulfill the Millennium
Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015. These shared goals help us take a giant step
forward in global cooperation to create a more peaceful, just and sustainable
world. Help join the campaign to remind our leaders about their PROMISE.

#1 - Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
1.2 billion people live on less than $1 a day

Developed countries pledged to give 0.7 % of their national income
in aid. Only 5 countries are living up to the commitment; the USA is giving less
then 0.2 %
