Drew Blyth Barrymore is an American actress whose family has been in the acting business for nearly 200 years. She first appeared on screen at 5 and by 7 had become a star with her role in E.T. Now she is one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood and in 2007 was ranked # 1 in People Magazine's annual 100 Most Beautiful People list. Offscreen, Drew Barrymore is actively involved in helping to make the world a better place. In 2005 she became a United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) celebrity partner and saw firsthand the tragic conditions of hunger and poverty children around the world endure during a trip to Kenya. In 2007 she was chosen as a WFP Ambassador Against Hunger, and began advocating for school feeding programs. There are more than 100 million school-aged children who don't get enough to eat. Each year the UN's World Food Programme feeds nearly 20 million children in 71 countries through school feeding programs.
