The
Labor Hall of Fame was founded in 1988 by the United States Department of Labor
(DOL) to posthumously honor Americans whose efforts have helped enhance the quality
of life of America's workers. A formal induction ceremony is held each year at
the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, D.C. .
