Once upon a time there were some kids who had a Dream.

Their Dream was that someday the world would live in peace.

These kids lived all around the world and they met each other on the Internet. They enjoyed cyber-chatting so much that they decided to start a Peace Kids Club to talk about their hopes and wishes for a more peaceful world.

They even set up their own website. The very first time they typed the web address on their computers, something strange and wonderful happened. They actually found themselves together IN cyberspace!

Of course it was a little scary the very first time. But it was fun. And they got used to it when it happened the next time. And the time after that.

During their Peace Kids Club meetings the kids shared ideas about how to help make their communities more peaceful. And their projects really made a difference back in the real world. But they'd pretty much come to the conclusion that peace on earth was just too big a task to ever really tackle.

During this meeting, however, Johnny had an interesting idea. "Imagine," said Johnny, "if the world tried peace for a day, maybe peace would stay."

"But there is so much fighting in the world," Michiko told him, "in our homes, in our neighborhoods and between countries."

"Yes," Ahmed added, "people don't respect each other or the planet. But maybe if the world tried to get along for One Day, all that might change."
