32. The Internet for a Better World

"We can't do it by ourselves, but if enough of us do it, we change the cultural climate, and then the leaders follow."
-- Riane Eisler

It will be hard for The Better World Movement to break into the mainstream. First we have to break down the barriers that determine what the media thinks people want to see and hear and be told. The Internet can help this to happen.

Cyberspace is a free environment of instantaneous sharing. If we use it as a vehicle for a better world, we can share and exchange ideas that will help each of us to grow and work for peace, justice and sustainability in our lives and our communities.

If working to create a better world becomes popular in cyberspace, it will become popular in the entertainment world. There are hundreds of networks of organizations working for a better world that have connected through cyberspace. If you have a website, you can help popularize the Better World Movement. By placing a banner for your favorite Better World website on your homepage, visitors to your site will know that creating a better world is important to you. If you don't have a webpage, think about adding a better world message and a link to a better world site in your email signature.

Help connect the Internet for a better world.
